
Having discovered that the future of the
younger generation look lackluster in the absence of Higher Education Institution at its
doorstep, the Association of Phom Graduates & Officers (APGO) took a consequential
decision to establish a secular institute of higher learning to be located at Longleng.
Eventually, the Yingli College was established on 9th September 1992. Over the
years, the College has come up to a commendable position both physically and academically
creating the confidence in the minds of people particularly the well- wishers through its
splendid feat in its performance concurrently making a remarkable achievement within a span
of few years. It is now permanently located in a sprawling area of 60 acres of land called
Longongkang, one kilometer away from the town which was inaugurated by the Honourable
Chief Minister of Nagaland on 6th June,2003.
It is affiliated to the Nagaland University
and the Nagaland Board of School Education. Its primary aim is to impart resonance
education to the prospective and deserving students.
The College was taken over by the
Government on 01.02.06.
The College offers honours courses in
Political Science and General in English,Education, Sociology,Economics and History.
