Air Dimapur, the only airport in Nagaland, is connected by air to Delhi and Calcutta and rest of the country.
Rail Dimapur, the important Railhead in Nagaland, is on the main line of North-Eastern Frontier Railway.

Entry Formalities Domestic tourists visiting Nagaland require to obtain Inner Line Permits issued by the Deputy Resident Commissioner at Nagaland House, Delhi, Calcutta and Assistant Resident Commissioner, Shillong; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur; Deputy Commissioner, Kohima and Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung. All foreign tourist desiring to visit Nagaland require Restricted Area Permits from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, South Block, New Delhi. Reservation Rules 25% of the rent for accommodation in the Tourist Lodges is required to be paid in advance either in Cash or by Money Order at the time of booking. Booking without payment of advance may however be allowed in cases of bookings by reputed firms and recognised Travel Agents. Package and Conducted Tours The Department conducts package and conducted tours to the tourist centres within and outside the State. Trekking and camping equipment are also given on loan to adventure lovers on nominal payment. Chartering of Tourist Bus Interested parties can charter either the 31 seater or the 25 seater bus belonging to the Department of Tourism, Nagaland at a rate of 40 paise per seat per kilometer, subject to full bus booking. The additional charge of Rs. 100/- is made for overnight haltage, and Rs. 500/- per night for 2 or more nights outing. The fares may be subject to change without prior notice. |
