one-day training on the NextGen e-Hospital system May 7, 2025

The Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, in colloboration with the National Informatics Centre(NIC), organised a one-day training on the NextGen e-Hospital system at NIELIT, Kohima on May 7, 2025.
The workshop focused on enhancing digital capabilities in district hospitals and was attended by Medical Superintendents, Nodal Officers, DEO/LDA-CAs.
The program was chaired by Dr Vezukholu Theyo, Additional Director (IT), who in her welcome address, highlighted the importance of the NextGen ehospital application in improving hospital operations, electronic health records, and integration with national health programs.
Shri Shubendu Kumar, DDG & HOG(Health) gave an introduction on NextGen eHospital Application.
Shri. Anoop Kinchi, Commissioner & Secretary, HFW Nagaland, delivered the inaugural speech on Health care System Enhancement through Digital Connectivity, emphasizing how digital platforms can bridge gaps in healthcare access, improve diagnosis and treatment, and promote preventive health awareness.
The technical sessions began with a presentation on NextGen e-Hospital by Shri Ravindra Kumar, Head of Department, NextGen eHospital, NIC.
This was followed by two indepth sessions on application configuration conducted by the NextGen team from NIC Delhi.
The participants also engaged in a hands on session faciliated by NIC Nagaland and the IT team from the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland.
The program concluded with an interactive discussion and doubt clearing session.
