NIC, NagalandState Centre, in solidarity with the nationwide Swachhata Pakhwada, organised the following the comprehensive actions which were undertaken throughout the entire duration of the events.
February 1, 2024- Pledge taking ceremony by all officer and staff of NIC Nagaland
NIC Nagaland along with the NIC Head Quarters,inaugurated SwachhtaPakhwada with a pledge ceremony attended by all officers and staff. Simultaneously, SwachhtaPakhwada banners were uploaded on NIC Nagaland’s State and District Centre websites, promoting regional participation in the cleanliness drive
February 2, 2024 – General Cleaning of own work space
The organization facilitated a general cleaning event aimed at maintaining cleanliness in individual workspaces to enhance productivity and create a conducive environment.
February 3, 2024- Knowledge Sharing session among NIC Nagaland Officials
The NIC Nagaland Officials’ knowledge-sharing session, led by DIO Kohima, centered on SwachhtaPakhwada, fostering collaborative learning and discussion to promote regional cleanliness and hygiene culture.
February 5, 2024-Sorting of Icons & Folders / Defragmentation
The NIC, Nagaland, State Centre conducted an event focusing on organizing digital files and performing defragmentation to enhance system efficiency, involving participation from all employees.
February 6, 2024- Encouraging the E-office for paperless and healthy environment
The event “Encouraging the E-office for paperless and healthy environment” was taken up to focus on promoting the adoption of electronic office systems to minimize paper usage and foster a more environmentally sustainable workplace. It emphasizes the benefits of transitioning to a paperless office, including reduced environmental impact, cost savings, and improved organizational efficiency.
February 7, 2024 – Cleaning of Toilets, Corridors ,Weeding out unused files / registers and removal of unused furniture and other items
The event “General Cleaning of Toilets & Corridors / Hardware” encompasses thorough cleaning and maintenance of restroom facilities, hallways, and hardware equipment. Simultaneously, the activity “Weeding out old / unused files / registers / records and removal of old / unused / unserviceable furniture and other items and deposit in the Store” focuses on decluttering and organizing physical and digital records, furniture, and equipment was taken up
February 8, 2024- Cleaning/Shifting of Data Centre and Servers/Routers
The event “Cleaning & Shifting of Data Centre” involving a comprehensive cleaning and reorganization of the data centre facility was taken up. Participants undertook tasks such as dusting and wiping down equipment, organizing cables, and rearranging hardware for optimal airflow and accessibility. It also included relocation of servers, racks, and other infrastructure components to improve efficiency and facilitate maintenance activities. This event aimed to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and efficient operation of the data centre environment.
February 9, 2024- Social Media Outreach
The organization conducted the event “Social Media Outreach,” which was a strategic initiative aimed at expanding the online presence and engagement of the organization or entity across various social media platforms.
February 10, 2024- Cleaning of own personal space at respective homes
The organization initiated a home cleaning event, emphasizing personal responsibility in tidying and maintaining cleanliness in individual living spaces to enhance well-being and quality of life.
February 12, 2024- General Cleaning of outside surrounding areas of NIC Office
The organization conducted the event “General Cleaning of outside surrounding areas of NIC Office” involves a concerted effort to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the outdoor spaces surrounding the NIC (National Informatics Centre) NagalandState Centre office premises.
February 13, 2024- Placement of SwachttaPakhwada posters
The organization strategically positioned SwachhtaPakhwada posters in prominent locations to raise awareness and inspire action for the cleanliness campaign.
On February 14, 2024- Workshop on e-waste by NPCB (Nagaland Pollution Control Board)
the NIC, Nagaland State Centre, in collaboration with NPCB(Nagaland Pollution Control Board)organized an event “Workshop on e-waste by NPCB” for an educational and informative session aimed at raising awareness about electronic waste (e-waste) management practices.
During the workshop, experts from the Nagaland Pollution Control Board provide insights into the environmental impact of e-waste and discuss the importance of proper disposal and recycling methods. They highlight the hazards posed by improper handling of electronic devices at the end of their life cycle and emphasize the need for responsible e-waste management to mitigate environmental pollution and health risks.

NIC, Nagaland State Centre, concluded the SwachhtaPakhwada with the event “Nationwide Shramdan on ‘Single Use Plastic” entails a collective effort across the nation to engage in voluntary labour, or ‘Shramdan’, focused specifically on addressing the issue of single-use plastic waste.
